Clinical case: prostate

 
During a routine examination of an elderly gentleman his doctor finds that the patient has an enlarged prostate which is partly responsible for his inability to urinate. The results of his PSA tests shows a normal value of 5.1 ng/ml. The patient is diagnosed as having benign prostatic hyperplasia.
